About Us
Our History
Loudermilk Contracting began as a family-owned business in 1982 with a single tractor in their equipment fleet and only a few employees working in the business. Work completed mostly consisted of reclamation work for coal mines in the southern Indiana region. The company began to gain traction in the market and a reputation for quality work which led to more employees and jobs. With their primary focus on mulching straw and seeding, the company purchased their first dozer from Black Beauty Coal Company to keep up with the growing demand.
With the business growing, Loudermilk Contracting decided to incorporate the company in 1995 and became Loudermilk Contracting, Inc. After incorporating, the company continued to grow and complete more work for their coal mine client base. They gradually added more equipment and employees to the staff and continued to grow through the turn of the century. Presently, Loudermilk Contracting, Inc. employs approx 30-40 employees full time and has over 50 pieces of heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, articulated trucks, tractors, loaders, compactors, scrapers, and various other pieces of equipment. In recent years, the company has diversified and completed many construction projects for a variety of clients in addition to the work they complete for mines across southern Indiana.
